aduffbrew Posted June 1, 2008 Share Posted June 1, 2008 Hi everyone, I'm looking to outfit a condominium with a wireless network. My first impulse is to pick up an Airport Extreme Base Station. It's small, attractive and would allow the attachment of an existing USB HD for use with Time Machine. While those three things are of interest to me, I don't really require any of it. Really, my biggest concern is wireless interference from the other networks in close proximity. The Airport Extreme comes 802.11a capable just in case. Do you think interference really is that big a concern? All I really need is a reliable router with NAT, wireless range within 40 ft, and decent security features.
