WinBlowsXP
Don't know if this is the appropriate thread but I successfully installed Mac OS X on my computer (JaS 10.4.8 SSE2/SSE3 image). My question is how do I get other hardware to work? Sound works fine natively, monitor set up correctly but is only available at one resolution and there is no optical drive set up in the OS. 1. I didn't install a graphics card so it would make it easier to install the OS first, is it possible to add a graphics card after installation if drivers are available? 2. I'm assuming on-board LAN should work natively with 10.4.8? and I found no drivers for Linksys WUSB11 network adaptor so I'm guessing that's a no go? 3. Is there a specific way to setup up my optical drive? (Same IDE Channel? etc.) or do I need drivers for OSX to detect it? If anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks! Suzie's Soliloquy
Your IDE drive SHOULD be recognized, if that's what you used to install OS X... What does it say in System Profiler about optical drives? (Oh, and check you've got it set as 'Master' on your Motherboard) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/107582-post-mac-os-x-installation/#findComment-764670 Share on other sites
