KiTzBiTz
Hi and once more.. I'm on my mission to enable Leopard on my Lenovo machines..I got some few issue here..and I need your review on it. My Acer 4315 did well on Leo4AllV3..but I have to format it since my HD is only 80GB..I need large amount for my jobs..AutoCad and many more..(need to buy new HD)soon enough..Then Leo will be in my Acer 4315. Ok now..my next machine is Lenovo: Spec as Below: ------------- System Summary Mainboard LENOVO LENOVO Chipset SiS 730 Processor Intel Core 2 Duo E4400 @ 2000 MHz Physical Memory 1024 MB (1 x 1024 DDR2-SDRAM ) Video Card Nvidia Corp GeForce 7300 LE Hard Disk HDT722525DLA380 (250 GB) Hard Disk WDC (80 GB) DVD-Rom Drive ATAPI DVD A DH16A1P ATA Device DVD-Rom Drive LW6336K NQJ026C SCSI CdRom Device Monitor Type L193 Wide - 19 inches Network Card Realtek Semiconductor RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC Operating System Windows Vista Ultimate DirectX Version 10.00 Windows Performance Index 3.5 The stories is: ----------- My first Leo Installer was Kalway 10.5.1 *Problem-System reboot before after I enter -v at Darwin. So I go messed with my BIOS. This time I actually dont remember what did I change..and suddenly it boot well the Kalway DVD.So I go on with installation.after succeded..I got blinking thing. The same goes to my acer. Then I google, and I found that I forgot to flags the disk. Then I do the flags thing. but Lenovo got stuck after Mac Framework succesfully loaded..then last thing is Buffer..etc..then it stay there forever.nothing happen.. Then I go for Leo4AllV3 since a lot of people claiming this the finest version. Ya I go for it..and my acer did well with it. My spec for acer: -------------- Mainboard Acer Volvi2 Chipset Intel GM965 Processor Intel Celeron M @ 1733 MHz Physical Memory 2048 MB (2 x 1024 DDR2-SDRAM ) Video Card Intel Corporation Mobile 965 Express Integrated Graphics Controller Hard Disk TOSHIBA (80 GB) DVD-Rom Drive Optiarc DVD RW AD-7560A ATA Device Monitor Type N141I1-L03 - 14 inches Network Card Marvell Semiconductor (Was: Galileo Technology Ltd) Yukon 88E8039 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller Network Card Atheros Communications Inc AR5006 family 802.11abg Wireless NIC Operating System Windows Vista Ultimate Professional 6.00.6001 Service Pack 1 DirectX Version 10.00 Windows Performance Index 3.3 but for my Lenovo machine same thing happens. Then I found out that on my Bios. When I disabled "ACPI support". I can boot into Leo4AllV3 & Kalway 10.5.1 without any problem and install succesfully but it will not go futher more after it boot when stuck on the loaded "Mac Framework succesfully loaded" If I enabled the "ACPI support" it will restart on it own forever. All I can guess is the Kernel made in Kalway 10.5.1 & Leo4AllV3 is not supporting Chipsets SiS 730 since I think it gor problem with the EFI loaded. But now I'm on my way for Kalway 10.5.2 as I wanted to see if It will support my Lenovo machine. wish me luck. Or it might my Lenovo BIOS machine problem..since I heard Lenovo machine came with critical issue regarding thier BIOS..but not my Model..its other model..notebook for sure..or it might an issue with SIS 730 @k@ 671 chipsets..I dunno..but I'm on my way onto Kalway..I'm downloading right now Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/107243-issue-with-leo4allv3/ Share on other sites
