haggen
Yestersay I just didn't know absolutely nothing about UNIX, MacOSX, kexts and etc. but today I think I'm almost done with getting my GeForce4MX440 working with Tiger (10.4.8). I'm newbie, so all I had to do is research, read, and try. Try, try, try many different ways until I get what I want. Titan and Natit I wasn't able to load. I'm making some progress with NVDA but still hanging before OSX startup. After OS installation it was hanging on 'windowlogin starting', so I had to remove NVDA kexts from Extensions directory to boot. Every time I tried to boot with NVDA kexts it displayed 'NVDA start: display (1) failed' message. After some alterations in 'Info.plist' of 'NVDNV20Hal.kext' and 'NVDAResman.kext' I managed to load successfully both kexts, but still couldn't boot. Now it hangs with 'launchd' and 'os/kernel failure' messages. Could NVCAP insertion solve my problem ? Could it be the monitor, I mean, some specific kext should be loaded for my SyncMaster CRT ? Any ideas ? Sorry for my bad english, and I really appreciate any help. Thanks in advance. Best regards.
