Mayim
I'm tearing my hair out here... I've been COMPLETELY unable to get QE/CI going on my AGP 128MB GeForce FX 5200. I've been googling up a storm and have read of many many many people with many many many cards like this getting things working; I have tried just about everything under the sun. I've tried WITH AGPGart, WITHOUT AGPGart... I've tried NVinject, I've tried Titan, I've tried Natit, I've tried various combinations of these. I've tried editing the device IDs in the kexts and I've tried leaving them alone. But I can't get the bloody thing to work. Device ID is 0x0322, revision 0x00a1, and of course the vendor is nVidia (0x10de). This is on a P4 running XxX OS X 10.4.11 on a Dell Optiplex GX270 small form factor (SFF). Please help Please, somebody, help me get this stupid thing working properly. Onixs
Check your BIOS setting. APERTURE SIZE must only be between 64-128 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/107144-cannot-get-qeci-working-with-agp-128mb-geforce-fx-5200/#findComment-762090 Share on other sites
Mayim
Check your BIOS setting. APERTURE SIZE must only be between 64-128 It is. It's 64. Is it possible that the nvidia drivers require SSE3? My CPU only does SSE2 (tho I have a replacement chip that will do SSE3 on the way). By the way, thank you ever so much for responding Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/107144-cannot-get-qeci-working-with-agp-128mb-geforce-fx-5200/#findComment-762202 Share on other sites
Onixs
Your Welcome. It doesn't matter if you have SSE2. AGPGart and Natit/Titan/NVInject will work as long you have the right configuration. Try this. http://www.mediafire.com/?lzzgtwmio1c Its an AGPGart 2.2 with Titan. Remember to delete the Nvinject/Natit before or after installing. Also, delete Extension.mkext and Extensions.kextcache in System/Library directory. And boot with -f on restart. politicosx86
@Mayim Did you ever get this to work, because I'm in the exact same boat as you?! I'm gonna try what rals2007 suggests... Actually, not the exact same boat, since I still can't seem to get the card to display properly with OS X 10.4.8, Semthex 8.8.1, JaS, SSE2.
