i downloaded thru BT Mac OSX86 10.4.4 install dvd which had a .rar that i unzipped to an iso. i thought it was bootable. didnt work. i just then downloaded mac osx 10.4.3 8f111a patches by JaS v4.2b.iso. that didnt work either, both give me the apple logo then after a bit i just see the circle with diagonal line. when i tried the install -v, it said something like waiting for root device. over and over and over. its an HP ze2309nr laptop here are the spec i found from the amd site.

are you just booting it off the dvd?.. if your drive isn't supported it's normal for that to happen.. at least to me.. try using VMware 5

I've got the eXact same error right after the AppleGenericPCATADriver...

 

What do you mean for Not Supported drive? the Actual HDD itself? or it is the bios? does it mean if I get a newer HDD it "Should" work?
