shedt
I'm wondering what I can do here. I have a asus p4 that has sse3 and hyperthreading. I have two different dvd's i burned. The first one I was getting usb errors so i switched and used the usb only for keyboard and mouse. anyways before i did this the first circle spinning in the grey thing would freeze, now it would continue. but it woulg go on to long. i waited and started over with -v and it says inb_ifatch_linklocal and stuff about no linking and address' and stuff like that. then it gives the waiting for root. so anyways, i have no partition yet, i only made my windows partition smaller as to use disk utility. but i can't get to it. now the other disk is different. it looks cool except it says panic unable to find driver for platform adp2.1 and a bunch of other stuff and freezes on no debugger device so i'm getting a 10.4.1 disk now and will try to see if i can follow the instructions well on patching it myself. hope someone can give some advice thank you Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/10665-im-having-problems-with-two-1044-install-dvds/ Share on other sites
Lkr
why are you using 2 DVDs and not 1? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/10665-im-having-problems-with-two-1044-install-dvds/#findComment-66821 Share on other sites
shedt
The first dvd would not work, so I went and got another pre-patched one. It's different then the first one. Do I need to create a mac partition first? Has anyone seen these errors before? This is before it installs or anything. If i do not do -v the animation just continues and does nothing. i'm going to turn xp off and try some stuff.
