Hey Everyone,

I downloaded iAtkos 2.0 and burned it to a DVD, and when I boot the installer, it just hangs at the grey screen with the apple logo. My PC Specs are:

C2Q Q6600

Intel DG33TL mobo

2GB OCZ Platinum Rev. 2 PC6400

160GB Maxtor IDE HDD

Now it can't be the fact that the HDD is IDE as iAtkos booted for me before, but I never got to installing it fully.

as soon as you insert the dvd and start the computer you see a message with the words "pree F8" in it,

at that time press F8 Once, then write -v and press enter (it will get you into verbose mode, instead of the gray screen),

then you can tell us what is the error message that caused this behavior, search words like: error exception or panic.

also check this blog and especially this post it got suggestions.

hi,

sorry this is not an error, it is a UART detection (serial port)

try finding the words: panic, error, exception, unexpected...

when you do find it copy some lined before it and some lines after it.

a better way is to picture your screen, upload it and link it here.

Shay.

I've experienced the same sort of issue. Where the DVD works fine sometimes but not everytime.

When the DVD doesnt boot to the installer. And I check what's stopped by booting with -v this is the error I get unable to mount /dev/disk0s1

The most unusual thing is, it managed to mount it without issues twice before. As I got all the way through the install. ;)
