  1. try this: http://apple2pc.blogspot.com/2008/04/shift...te-without.html
  2. its not the question of forcing them (apple) to do something (like make OSX available on a PC platform), but it is more of a case to allow others to do what ever they wish (like sell the software installed on a PC without apple preventing it)! i think it was a smart and souragiouse move from Psystat side, apple sude them for selling OSX installed on something "other then Mac", Apple mistake is to ask the court to collect all solled hackintosh from the clients, by that leaving Psystar with nothing to lose, (if the trial is lost then they gain nothing of the publisity, all increased sell will have to be collected and reimburse, if they won then Psystar should make the trial as loud as they can so sell will rise. hence the counter sue, it is my opinion that if the "collect all solled Hackintosh..." demand wasnt on the table then the counter sue would not occure, also do know that as much as we are angree with Psystar they are still fighting for all of us (although its not their intention, they can't help it), if they win, then the whole OSX for MAC only will disappear and other sellers might arise, perhaps we will see dell, LG, and other manufacturers making OSX available on their hazrdware once it is legal to do so, also software and hardware companies might perfect the hackintosh procedure, and write OSX drivers for the PC platform etc. it will be good for us that Psystar will win.

  5. hi Ryan, i support the answer that geiman wrote, the problem is usually support or rather lack of support for IDE or SATA drivers, in your situation you have all IDE drivers and one sata, this means that the DVD you downloaded don't hava IDE support, i assume the sata is also working in ide mode (it is configurable from the BIOS), so ether download other distribution, don't give up, there are many version try them all untill you get it working, another (more complex solution) is to find and download ATA drivers (kext that have the word ATA in them like: AppleATA.kext) and inject them into the system extensions folder. link to kext inject explanation: http://osx86.wikidot.com/how-to-s#toc3 and other ideas on my blog: http://apple2pc.blogspot.com/2008/05/still...oot-device.html hope it helps.

  7. Need help from driver developers

hello, i have tried for the last two months to write an LG laptop keyboard driver, using the apple PS2 Keyboard code, i have managed to initialize the keyboard and receive some hex codes in response, i have registered the driver to receive key events, and no matter what i do i cannot receive click events (the callback method never runs), are there any driver developers here that have a direction what can i do next? thanks ahead for any thought and idea, Shay.

  11. hi, i use version 1.0.148 OSX86Tools but non of the "Install EFI/Run FDISK" scripts run as they should. i will submit a bug. (submited here is the link to the report)
  12. hi ~pcwiz, would you consider minimizing the steps involved in this procedure and reducing it to a single button in osx86Tools? for instance you can just ask the user to point on the downloaded image file and the destination usb drive and press Go. that would be a lot easier. if you would like, i am willing to write the code and you can integrate it in the tools package. Shay.
  13. hi, i have found a package for leopard that insert lproj folders for the hebrew language and by that transform the interface to hebrew, i have successfully installed it on my hackintosh with no problems, i added to it a uninstall script, and backup and restore to the previously installed on your hackintosh heb.lproj script. the download is available here, and further details available here, and screenshots here. hoping this will help some one, Shay.
  14. PCWiz, amazing work, great job man, can't wait to install and report. keep them coming we love your work.
