Hi everyone!

I recently tried installing the newest Kalyway and it all seems fine when I bash the enter button before a "boot.apple" error appears, but as it all goes along well it suddenly stops at this:

It may be my BIOS setting, I've tried:

Sata-IDE/AHCOI

UEFI boot-on/off

No USB boot at startup-off

I also have tried the following boot commands

-v

-s

-legacy

-mach_kernel

-rd=disk0s3

-cpus=1

-FDisk -e -v/dev/disk0

+Can it possible be my integrated Intel graphics card?

Thank you! :)

When you installed Kalyway, did you choose any Graphic Card drives? You can try installing again, but this time, only install the core system, no drivers at all. Also, if you are installing the Vanilla Kernal, make sure you type "vanilla" at cd start up. See if any of this helps.

I didn't get a chance to choose any drivers, all I did was burn the .iso onto a dvd-r (6th dvd if I may add), and ran it after activating the partition compatible with OSX.

I'm going to try root running with "vanilla", -x, and -f -v.

EDIT:

Vanilla result in no change, same error.

-f -v shows that everything is working fine, and I'm not crashing due to some file.

BTW, should I use Sata-IDE or Sata-AHCI?

Should I have UEFI boot on?

Switching my ACPI to SL State 1 and not 3 seems to solve that problem, but 2 more have risen up.

My boot screen looks like this:

and no matter what I type in it always loads mach_kernel.

This is with SLstate:1 =

Do I need to delete something, then reburn it? If so, how would I go about modifying an .iso?

Burn your image whit 4x speed.

The size of your image is 3.6gb?

Yes my ISO is 3.65gb, and I burned it at 4x.

Im 100% positive it's not the CD, because this is my 6th one already :)

you set the sata mode at acpi?

or try a other version: iatkos 10.5.2, leo4allv3 ...

I'm thinking about using iatkos, but I think I can solve Kalyway.

The only option I have for ACPI is to change its power state from S1 to S3.

BTW, which iATKOS do you suggest? v2.0i or some other?

have you try with sata mode on IDE?

On my notebook and on my deskop i have this mode on IDE... its working

i have on my deskop the x48 chip...its working

V2.0i i think... but the kalyway 10.2.5 is the best.

Yes I do use IDE. Do you have a solution for the above errors? Or is it some other factor?

have you reinstall the kalyway?

set vanilla kernel on the installation.

How would I "reinstall" if I haven't installed anything, I cant even get to the instaltion screen, it just loads up to here and stops. I did try vanillakernel but the same error keeps popping up, I'm starting to think it's my hardware or some BIOS settings.

  • 5 months later...

I had the same issue. I am using iAtkos 4i.

I had to set the bios to APIC "enabled"

AND set the ACPI power state to use "both S1 & S3".

I think from looking through some of the info, that S3 is what corrected the issue. It was previously set to "S1"

Hope this helps.
