egarim Posted May 21, 2008 Share Posted May 21, 2008 Hi all, i have a gigabyte 8600 gt on my old pc can i use it on my new mac pro ? will i have problem with firmware of video card ? could i change the bios of my video card to one mac-efi compatible ? sg Posted May 21, 2008 Share Posted May 21, 2008 you should be able to use it as long as you have another video card in one of your other slots. you'll need to have the monitor cable hooked up to your other card when the machine boots up, and after that you can simply connect your monitor cable to your 8600 and it should work. you'll need 10.5.2 and the leopard graphics update installed for it to work too.
