sam_the_killer Posted March 1, 2006 Share Posted March 1, 2006 hi everyone out there, i want to configure mac os x 10.4.4 with windows xp on a single 80 gig hdd. also the machine only has cd-rom drive. also i can use external hdd. the problem i faced with 10.4.3 was that when i installed mac os x first on the hdd, windows xp wanted active partition and was not able to install any other partition except for the first. if i first installed windows xp and then mac os x , i got no boot from chain0. any help will be appreciated thank u and pls consider this as urgent. dts Posted March 1, 2006 Share Posted March 1, 2006 use a partition tool such as Acronis Disk Director and make your OSx86 partition ACTIVE. Boot into OSx86 and edit the file com.apple.Boot.plist add a key called Timeout and the string value is the number of seconds <key>Timeout</key> <string>8</string> save and reboot.
