web_james Posted May 20, 2008 Share Posted May 20, 2008 I'm having freezing problems with Roxio Toast (8 and 9). I was using Toast 7 without any problems but then one day it stoped working properly; It started to crash on open. Then I installed Toast 8 and it seamed OK, but when I first tryed to burn a disk it freezes on the Progress panel. It gives the remaining time but freeze at 0%. I have to force quit to close the application. Even after force quit, I can't eject the disk from the drive. I have to re-start the machine to remove the disk. Last night I've completely removed Toast 8 (with app zapper) and installed Toast 9, but I got the same problem. I'm using the latest Leopard version. I can successfuly burn disks using another burning software (DISCO), so doesn't look like a problem with my DVD drive... Anyone have a clue of what's going on? web_james Posted May 22, 2008 Author Share Posted May 22, 2008 I've tryed Disk Utilities /Repair permissions and re-installed Toast 7. No go. Toast is still freezing when I try to burn a DVD. It start spining the DVD and the status light blinks a few times but then it remains with the message "writing disk" and nothing appens... Suprjacob Posted October 21, 2008 Share Posted October 21, 2008 Hm. I have Toast 9 on my Hack OSX and it's working fine, so I don't think it's a software issue... Try checking your hardware - like try burning with Nero in XP or something.
