yoda75
Here's the article complete with video clips: http://gizmodo.com/391103/full+screen-mult...-not-from-apple There is now an opensource framework that will allow implimentation of multitouch screens. It's available for OSX, can be used in Cocoa environments and it's open source too! I think this will lead to some very cool things in the not so distant future! kinkster
Well, only if people start shipping touch screens. As far as I know they're pretty hard to make ones self. Also I wish that guy would use the OSX interface, instead of all those gimmicks. xtraa
Well, only if people start shipping touch screens. As far as I know they're pretty hard to make ones self. No, it really seems to be a walk in the park. Ok, the better you want the look and feel of your device, the more complex it gets of course. But the technik itself is mostly software-based. All you need is a cam, and something that makes your fingertips appear to it, when you press on the glass front. You can make it ghetto-tech, as shown in the vid, or you take an old 17" LCD display (eBay says they are worthless meanwhile). The cam and the software will do all the rest of the work Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/105543-multitouch-on-osx/#findComment-751442 Share on other sites
