derekreid
The onboard audio on my Asrock p4i65g board works out of the box, but the system volume does nothing. At every setting it's the same volume, the keyboard keys work and everything...even mute is the same as full blast. I realize audio is better than nothing, but it's just a small thing that would make my hackintosh nearly perfect. ID's are 8086:24d5

00diabolic
VOLUME CONTROL ISSUE SOLVED--- You need a Linux dump that has Amp-Out Mixer & I'm guessing a lot of other people here have dumps without that also. That's why there's no volume control for speakers. I can not get a dump that has this entry so far. I have tried. If anyone here can provide a newer dump from a more recent Linux distribution, then check the dump to see if it has Amp-Out Mixer. Apparently If we can get that amp out mixer we can have volume control for ALC862 which is what i have. I hope some of you who want volume control on the 861/862 read this. I'm not sure what codec you have but its the same issue I bet.
