Kaly 10.5.2 -> Kaly + XP w/GUID

I have a copy of Kalyway's 10.5.2 on my laptop right now. I had it take up my entire hard drive, but with gParted I downsized the mac partition 20gb for a Windows XP install. When I did this, I could no longer boot directly to Mac, I think because the parition isn't active anymore... (its still there, with the Kaly CD I can let the 10 seconds go up without choosing to boot from the disk, and it will boot into mac). But I'm trying to install Windows XP, with the Windows Install CD it says it cant find a hard drive (I think because the Hard drive is in GUID mode)... is there a way to get around this (or could it be because my hard drive is in ACHI mode?)
