You really need to post more details (as many as you have) about your system version, hardware specs, etc. when you ask these types of questions. With the lack of info you have given above, my answer is that it will most likely not work- as it is hard to find wireless cards that work to begin with, much less ones with a USB adapter. If you want more details, give us more details. That and search the wiki hardware compatibility lists for your adapter's model name. (in fact, do an exhaustive search, before asking these questions in the first place, please.) Thank you :guitar: :guitar:

No need for the attitude. I'm sorry if you infered one from my previous post. And yes, I do aim to help people, or support them as you say, with my posts here. I guess that what I was getting at, was in order to help you efficiently, we need more information (or details) about your setup.

1- what version of OS X do you need help with? 10.4.1? 10.4.3? 10.4.4? 10.4.5?, and what build? 8F1099? 8F1111A?, etc.

2- What is the exact make and model number of the USB network WiFi adapter you are having trouble with?

3- (not necessary, but helpful) What make and model computer are you doing this on?

Without this information, nobody is going to be able to help you very well, if at all.

Again, I apologize if I came across as rude. I just get tired of so many people (including you in other posts you have made) asking questions that we could answer very easily, except the people posting invariably ask very open ended questions, without enough detail for a real answer. Consequently, there end up being many posts back and forth (like this one) where we ask you for basic information, that should really have been included in the original question. I honestly don't mean to sound mean or angry here, and I know I'm ranting, but I'm trying to give you advice on how to more effectively post questions, so you get a useful answer. :hysterical:

uhh...this is a support forum. im asking for support. if you dont want to give support, then dont. kthxbi.

and what other information is there to give? i just want my wireless to work, everything else works.

People should be made to take some sort of test before they're allowed on the internet.

Sorry, I can't help you with that adapter. There is no listing yet for WUSB54G in the Wiki Hardware Compatibility Lists... ;) Maybe someone else will read this and have experience with that model.

Wait, the Dimension is a desktop machine, right? There are plenty of PCI card ethernet adapters that are known to be supported. Most you can buy for 5 or 10 dollars! Check out the wiki list here.

I suggest something like the DLink FA311 FE Rev.1 (which I use) or any other popular card that is listed as "YES" for working without patching. ;)
