sama7896
This is twice that it happened to me... first it startedd with a sudden "black screen of death" while normally running the os (was browsing actually), i rebooted and it hanged just before it loaded the dock/desktop; no errors, just hangs. I rebooted with -s and wrote the two commands, and said "Incorrect block count for pcscd.pub" it should be 16 (or 17), tried to repair itself and said it is repaired, but upon reboot it did the same thing. So i removed the pcscd.pub from /var/run/ in single user mode but the result is the same.... can anybody tell me what's this about? (last thing i installed is parallels, but rebooted a couple of times without any problems) Thanks for any help/ advice (running kallyway 10.5.2) Edit: Frack it, i'm reinstalling ! (and i thaught windows was buggy... but what the hell, at least it looks good) Whould be nice to know what it's about so i can't do this mistake again. sama7896
Update: On reinstall of kally 10.5.2, the same problem reoccured, plus the vista boot had blue screens. Then i installed kally 10.5.1 and this one booted fine, also the vista boot seems to be fixed. So the solution must be the GPT boot option in 10.5.1. Question : What are the chances that adding the install package of gpt boot from kally 10.5.1 (or iatkos 2.0, i've seen this distro has it too) to the 10.5.2 kally dvd whould fix the problem ? Update Installed Leo4all v3 and all is fine, thank you eddie. (i did modify the dvd but it does not boot, that part about fixing the booting i don't know ) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/105228-incorrect-block-count-for-pcscdpub/#findComment-749255 Share on other sites
