him84 Posted May 15, 2008 Share Posted May 15, 2008 hey! i've installed leo4allV3 on my lenovo machine, after installation which took a while (went to sleep coz it took so long) (i'm pretty sure it went ok), now when i boot the computer (from the HD) after the black screen with the driver loading starts i'm getting the "Still waiting for root device" error message. (right after the message "RTL0139: FixEnetFlowControl - Flow Control is disabled". my machine is: Lenovo C100 Bios Version: 60ET18WW (1.05) CPU Type: Dothan CPU speed: 1.7 RAM : 1g/b HD: fujitsu 60g/b IDE My Dvd is an extranal LG drive (USB) machine Type And Model: 076137G does anyone has a sultion? thanks for your time! If you suspect it, try reinstalling. If the message remains the same, then at boot prompt, try rd=disk0s1 -v -x options. this will use the first partition on disk0 (hopefully that is the case, otherwise you can try disk0s2, disk1s1 and disk1s2 also) and will boot in safe mode first. eddie11c Posted May 15, 2008 Share Posted May 15, 2008 I would suspect you did not install the chipset driver for you motherboard. Please reinstall with the chipset driver selected.
