Ok so Im really really pushing it for buying a macbook to replace my current model (in my sig below, the only thing holding me back is the GPU performance in a macbook)

I just wanted to know (if anyone knows?) that if you run windows xp in bootcamp so you using the actual windows OS on your mac will you gain a better performance in games instead of running it in crossover which emulates the OS.

Im guessing running in bootcamp would give you a few more frames but has anyone actualy tried this?

I don't have MacBook but Mac Pro with nVidia 7300GT. What I can tell you is that it is always better to run OS (even if it is Windows) natively instead in virtual machine/environment.

All games perform way slower in virtual environment, and regarding regular software, things that you can not find natively for Mac OS X will run just fine in fussion/parallels/crossover, but some of them can't be installed with crossover, so only option is either boot into Win or use virtual machine.
