sheeplover
After upgrading to the latest BIOS Version F12 on my GA-P35-DS4 Rev1.0 sleep is working absolutely flawless. The BT Mighty Mouse Wireless gets disconnected and needs some time to get reconnected, but STR3 sleep works. party on! pylonman
I was wondering how to fix the sleep problem. Quick question, how do you upgrade the BIOS to F12? My board is same mobo and version number. What selection for the Gigabyte site do you download? Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/104602-ga-p35-ds4-rev10-sleep-working/#findComment-747488 Share on other sites
sheeplover
I was wondering how to fix the sleep problem. Quick question, how do you upgrade the BIOS to F12? My board is same mobo and version number. What selection for the Gigabyte site do you download? Thanks Here is the link to the one I used directly at gigabyte: GA-P35-DS4 BIOS F12 But it is easy to find on the website: just type in »p35-ds4« in the search box and follow the link to »GA-P35-DS4 (rev. 1.0)«. Once there the the BIOS-Section appears as fourth link in the upper right subnavigation. To upgrade your mainboard, extract the file and put the BIOS-File itself on any usb flash drive. And you can create an empty file (via textedit or something else) named »oldbios.bak« (i.e.) on it in case you like to backup you existing one. Now, all you have to do is reboot your machine and hit the [END] key when the initial screen with the gigabyte logo is shown. This takes you straight to the BIOS upgrade tool that is really self-explanatory. However - if sleep really works for you or not depends not only on your mainboard and its bios but also on the additional components you use, esp. your graphics card and every coponent that can prevent the system from sleep. Good Luck! == EDIT == Added a link to the actual Gigabyte Firmware to my signature ...
