Ok I probably got around 500 dollars to spend. What hardware would I want to get to have it as painless as possible (and most impressive) I just need to know what motherboard I need really. The rest I can probably figure out on my own. Thanks in advance for the help ;)

best place to look since you wanna do most of it yourself :)

i'd suggest the GA-P35-DS3L or GA-G31M-S2L for the cheaper mobos... if you wanna spend a bit more you could get a blood iron,by dfi, which is practically no patches...

, What parts do you need? Do you have any spare parts to put into the machine first? If so, what are they?

As for motherboards, I would suggest an Abit IP35-Pro for stability and usability with Os X86. The board supports the newest 45nm chips and allows for 8GB of ram to be addressed on Os X.It's not the cheapest, but it's a bit more future proof. For CPUs it all depends on what you want to do with the machine. I opted for Intel's E8400, which was their new Core 2 Duo rated at 3.06ghz stock. It was also their newest 45nm chip (which means it runs using less power and runs much cooler). However, it wasn't cheap. Right now you can get it for $200 from Newegg. So, my suggestions all depends on how many spare parts you have to pour into the machine. That includes case and power supply.
