BearnaN
Im installing osx on my pc, it goes all the way through untill it is on the "Finish up" stage and it just stays there, with the little thing down the bottom just spinning around. zerotek
This happened to me as well, i just restarted my computer after like a minute to let the hard drive activity stop. My install was fine. Eggman
Yeah. I don't know how many people have this problem, but I do. Basically, your Mac can't reboot by itself. It will just get stuck at the spinning thing. Just wait until the hard drive light turns off and you can reboot manually and get the same effect. zerotek
yup... i think since the apple hardware is so close to the os it can't reboot a lowly x86 beige box, lol. When you reboot i found the only way i could get the hd to load the os was to boot from the dvd again and hit the f8 when it promts you, then type in where your install is. mine was rd=disk0s2 , yours might be rd=disk0s1... just thought i would save you some time if u got stuck there as well. Eggman
What version are you trying to install? If you're trying to install 10.4.4, you need to have some version of OS X installed so you can run a script our Chinese friends made. Once you get the script run, you can easily boot and install 10.4.4.
