ehh
I successfully installed 10.4.4 on a Thinkpad X40 but the wired, wireless, and bluetooth controllers do not show up. Where do I even start to get the wired ethernet (Intel Pro/1000) working? Any help would be appreciated. hooter
I had the same problem on my T42. You have to use the IONetworkingFamily.kext from your old 10.4.3 install. What I had to do was reinstall 10.4.3, make a copy of that file, reinstall 10.4.4, then replace the file. To replace it, simply do "sudo rm -r /System/Library/Extensions/IONetworkingFamily.kext" and put in your password. After you do that, do "sudo mv /location/of/your/old/ionetworkingfile /System/Library/Extensions/IONetworkingFamily.kext" Then open the Disk Utility and repair permissions. Once you reboot, everything should work fine. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/10447-thinkpad-x40-nic-woes/#findComment-65296 Share on other sites
