JonZ
I got grub and boot_v8 successfully communicate with each others partition. Just the thing I don't like is the additionnal countdown (2sec) when selecting OSX in grub. Any way to get rid of that and jump directly in Darwin? TIA Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/104275-grubboot_v8-issue-is-there-a-way-to-remove-the-2-second-waiting/ Share on other sites

Its actually quite useful. Before installing upgrades from software update, I dd my partition to my external hdd. Then if I want to boot the old system to fix something, I enter 82 (for 3rd hdd) to boot off my backup.
