zewly
Install fails with ACPI Panic right after loading both mkext's about 1 minute into boot. Using kalyway 10.5.2. I also had exact same issue with 10.4 release. Tried with f8 then typing vanilla and also -v but nothing changed. Any ideas? cpu 0 caller 0x001A8C8A seems its ioacpi and iopci? daftdom
Hi Zewly, I get the same problem. Did you ever fix this? I tried disabling IOACPI in the bios but still nothing. Are you using a USB keyboard? I have found an artical about using a PS2 converter but I dont have one to try! Just bought a new PC aswell! Gutted!! :-( Thanks, Dom Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/104158-install-fails-with-acpi-panic/#findComment-888586 Share on other sites
inimicus
Tried with f8 then typing vanilla and also -v but nothing changed. Any ideas? -v is for verbose mode, aka showing text on the screen. That's all. Instead, you'll want to try: -x (safe mode) You may want to try experimenting with BIOS settings if you haven't already. The trick here, though time consuming, is to only change one BIOS item at a time to isolate what works/doesn't work. I'm hoping I get there in the end! :-) Thanks, Dom Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/104158-install-fails-with-acpi-panic/#findComment-890124 Share on other sites
daftdom
Right got this working for me in the end by doing -x -v at F8. I think the -x must load in all the drivers in. I'm now back to my still waiting problm now. doh! :-( Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/104158-install-fails-with-acpi-panic/#findComment-890195 Share on other sites
