macbrush
Your xbench score seems right except the hard drive part, which I am not sure why. Geekbench score is perfectly normal if you didn't OC your system. digitallysick
Your system isn't overclocked very much, i have a 2.13ghz core2duo, with an after market air cooler (about 30 dollars from newegg) and i am stable at 3.30ghz you should be able to get more out of it, i think most people with your proc get 3.4ghz also you could overclock the ram, what are your ram times in your bios + voltage settings? my geekbench score http://browse.geekbench.ca/user/digitallysick/ 5157 best i could do. I seriously think its your ram settings/times/voltage Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/103876-why-is-my-mac-so-slow/#findComment-740339 Share on other sites
knewsom
Spotlight may still be indexing if it's a recent install, which could cause it to be slower. Once it's done, things will pick up, if that's the case.
