NatureX
Hey all, I was coding some Java and CSS, in my newly installed 10.04.3. On the mac side it seemed to run perfect, however, once I brought it back into IE on a windows machine, nothing worked properly. None of the colors, or frames showed. Can I code in Mac and bring into WIndows? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/10387-smultronformat-error/ Share on other sites
xiberia
Absolutely you can, and I use Smultron too (nice app). What I do, is set up the server on my OSX box: http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?showtopic=7658 then you can test your website from a real server. Use Safari and Firefox to test it. If you have a seperate windows machine (on a local network), you can then open up your OSX website in Internet Explorer and test it on that too. Works fine. Smultron is just a text-editor, like Crimson Editor on the PC. It should save plaintext. Open Smultron, go to Preferences/open and save/ and at the bottom you'll see "encodings". Try changing it to ASCII or Unicode or something. Also bear in mind that IE doesn't play nice with Java or CSS generally, so its not necessarily your code thats to blame. Does it work in Firefox on the PC? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/10387-smultronformat-error/#findComment-64858 Share on other sites
