d'DK Posted May 7, 2008 Share Posted May 7, 2008 hi there... i need some help on installing the macOSX Leopard... i got the BrazilMac_PatchedDVD, i have already burn the image, but i cannot installed it.. i got this message: Firewire (OHCI) TI ID 8023 PCI now active, GUID 0090270001e52edf; max speed s400. Extension "com.apple.driver.iTunesPhoneDriver" has no explicit kernel dependency; using version 6.0. ERROR: Firewire unable to determine security mode; defaulting to full secure. still waiting for root device then i read on some articles mentioned that i have to disable my firewire through bios, i hv done so, but then i got this message: Extension "com.apple.driver.iTunesPhoneDriver" has no explicit kernel dependency; using version 6.0. still waiting for root device is it the copy or what? please help... sama7896 Posted May 7, 2008 Share Posted May 7, 2008 the error has nothing to do with firewire. Most it can do is add a 10 seconds delay on startup ( some people remove the firewire extensions for this reason). Can you boot with -x ? Second of all why brazilmac and not leo4all v3 or kallyway 10.5.2 ? they are way better on driver support.
