Installation Problem

Dear All MAC's Fans,

 

I'm really tired on installed the 10.5.1 & 10.5.2...always fail.....

My problem on 10.5.1 & 10.5.2 are the same

 

Case 1 - Run by a DVD

It's hang up at the grey apple screen...the loading signal not appear.......

 

Case 2 - Run by VMWare

Sometimes told me "you need to restart your computer"

and sometimes can loading to the setup menu.....but i can only see the "wallpaper" and nothing appear........

 

Can anyone tell me how can i install on my system?

my system config :

Intel Core Duo E4500 2.2Ghz

Asus P5GC-MX/GBL

2GB Ram

160GB Sata

Geforce 8400GS 256

I've tried to install on another system yesterday, it's worked & installed

 

This system is mostly the same with the pervious one

 

can anyone told me what is the different? i've seen many topics about "IDE/SATA connections" but seems not work on my pervious system........hope someone can help me

 

 

Perfectly installed system config:

intel Core Duo E4500 2.2ghz

Asus P5GC-MX

2Gb Ram

160Gb Maxtor SATA II (Pri. Master)

Asus DVD-RW SATA II (Fourth Master)

 

Hang Up System Config:

intel Core Dur E4500 2.2ghz

Asus P5GC-MX/GBL

2GB Ram

160Gb Western Digi SATA II (Sec. Master)

160Gb Maxtor SATA II (Fourth. Master)

40Gb IDE (Pri. Slave)

DVD-RW IDE (Pri. Master)

*IDE HD & DVD-RW connected on the same IDE cable

 

The error was when i boot with the DVD (both 10.5.2 & 10.5.1) , justed hanged up on the gray apple screen with a "stop signal"

it should install, or so does the wiki say - iatkos should do fine.

You need to boot the dvd with -v (verbose) to see where it hangs, post that back on the thread. The stop sign most probable means it cannot recognize a drive.

Second, have you tried installing from a sata dvd drive ? (that might help)

Third, kallyway 10.5.2 has the power to integrate a specific driver in the install dvd, if you can just find which ..
