Trebile34
I have successfully installed Leopard off of a Kalaway 10.5.2 DVD. When I boot it up it gives me a kernal panic saying I need to reboot. I tried to boot in verbose mode, but it will get to a point and stop booting. It stops after saying: Mac OS version: Not Set Yet Kernel Version Darwin Kernel Version: 9.0.0: Tues Oct 9 21:35:55 PDT 2007; root:xnu-1228~1/RELEASE-i386 System Model Name: Inspiron 600m As you can guess, I am running it on a Dell Inspiron 600m with 512 MB of ram, pretty much stock. I am pretty new to this stuff, so any help would be appreciated. EDIT- I overlooked it saying something about com.apple.drivers.appleapic.kext, so i booted off of the install dvd and located it. What should I do with it? What exactly does it do? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/103603-kernal-panic-on-bootup-edit-more-info/ Share on other sites
RSN
Try deactivating the second cpu via a boot paramenter CPUS=1 or get into your BIOS configuration and deactivate it if its posible.
