mystified
I have 3 versions of linux installed and I'd like to replace one with Leopard. Everything I've seen so far is for Windows. Is it possible to install Leopard on a linux only machine? Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/103530-linux-and-leopard/ Share on other sites

thenameisgabe
Its possible, it will take some work though, you don't need a spare harddisk. I think certain bootloaders will allow you to boot into osx and linux. All I can tell you is to dig through the forums and gather information from all the dualboot/triple boot guides. -gabe Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/103530-linux-and-leopard/#findComment-737537 Share on other sites
mystified
Thanks, I'll keep looking. So far everything I've found is for grub and I use lilo. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/103530-linux-and-leopard/#findComment-737540 Share on other sites
toolshed
I'd like to run more than one OS too, and wondering what the main differences are between running a virtual machine software, like VMWare, vs. multiple partitions/multiple boot. Is it true that installing/de-installing OS's would be easier running a virtual machine? I'd prefer a solution that would keep the basic machine as stable as possible, and to make it easier...
