bchris999
Hi, Is it possible to create a set of install CD's for 10.4.3 8F1111A from a patched DVD (Jas patch)? I know OS X for PPC came on CDs, so I was wondering how easy it would be to take the install DVD and create some install CD's, and what the process of doing this would be? The reason for this is that I want to do a native install to a computer that cant read DVD-R or DVD+R disks. Thanks in advance! jbjonas
I don't know if it's possible, but I've never heard of it being done... Why don't you just put a DVD drive into that computer just for the install (or use an external one if it's a laptop)? After install you don't really need it. bchris999
unfortunatly, the computer is a laptop.. and the bios doesnt seem to support booting off anything except either its own harddisk or the built in cd drive... i've tried to get it to boot off a usb pen drive and a usb floppy with no luck! i'm getting despirate now for os x... each time i look at it installed on another computer i want it more and more! thesog
You could try taking the hard drive out of your notebook and put it in another machine (even your desktop if you've got the right connector/converter) to do the install then putting it back.
