I have an Asus P5E-VM DO motherboard, sata HD and ide dvd drive. Before getting a sata drive, i was getting the plist error, then i got a sata drive and everything went fine.

I've just burned Kalyway 10.5.2 iso onto a dvd-r. When i try to boot off it i get the apple/boot.plist file not found error.

Sata hdd + IDE dvd rw burner.

Thanks for any help :P

Dude. you need to have a sata dvd drive. as the drivers for ide are not available until after installation. or you could download the flat image and then install leopard straight onto a partition. i had the same problem with iatkos1.0i and also kalyway 10.5.2. but i got the flat image working its really straight foward

I have the same problem. But, I have intel Sata 1-4 and Jmicron Sata5. If I don't use Sata5, it seems that I could use the ide port since it is not jmicron. I can boot up from linux and xp on the DVD drive, but not install cds. I have tried about 50 of them.:-(Well, I fixed myself up with a usb dvd drive to install and it sees the dvd drive, but same problem :-(
