lilbic
I just installed Kalyway 10.5.1 using this guide with a slightly different setup- http://macapper.com/2008/01/19/diy-hackint...-pro-for-cheap/ My only problem so far is that every time I boot up the computer BIOS has gone back to its default settings which I cannot use to boot Kalyway with, I have to go into BIOS and adjust the settings, turn off the computer and turn it back on to get Kalyway to finally boot. I'm using BIOS version 2206. I'm wondering what is causing this problem and if there is any way to fix it. My build is- mbr-Asus P5W DH DELUXE cpu-Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q6600 2.4GHz 1066MHz 8MB LGA775 EM64T CPU RAM-3gb Crucial DDR2-667 Video Card-EVGA GeForce 7300GT HD-Seagate 500gb SATA 2 Thanks for the help Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/103296-bios-boot-problem/ Share on other sites
knewsom
1. Have you tried replacing the mobo battery? 2. does it happen only when you power off, or even when you just restart? 3. Hopefully someone else will have more detailed advice, I kinda got lucky with mine and most everything just kinda worked. Haven't tired replacing the battery, its a now mobo. 2. happens both when I turn the power off and when I restart it. I'll try replacing the battery when I get home from work and repost.
