i guess thats a no then is there any way a few of use can build 1 then. Id certainly help. Maybe just a page where people can up their hardware eg just chipset and people can compare evrsions if they know a later 1 post it. Then hopefully we can try all the versions till we find the right 1. Probably would save a lot of questions in forums. Just an idea!!!!

It is a good idea, but it's a lot of work. There are a ton of kexts floating around, some from Apple, some hacked, some written from scratch. Nobody pays any attention to what versions any of them are or what dependencies thay have on each other. The wiki is a start but it consists mostly of anecdotal evidence about what works where and with what hardware. What you're suggesting is something I would use, but I don't think many other people would even bother with it.

  • 4 months later...

i would love some support for my hardware since i have no idea how to create drivers.

My System:

AMD Phenom 9950

MSI K9A2 Platinum Motherboard (on board audio)

Corsair 4GB

ATI Radeon 4850

I am running lawlessPPC 10.5.4 and everything works great except for the video res is a little off, no audio and when i launch garageband, i get an error saying something about not being able to load CoreAudio. Also when i install iWork (I have legit retail copies of all these apps) keynote will not run, and pages and numbers pop up a window that looks like the app but the window is just all white. any thoughts? thanks.
