you need to find out what chipset you laptop runs then find the kext to drive it that would then need to be injected to the image before burning

this really strange as with the voodoo kernel rc1 you dont need to patch anything i am running a vanilla install on phenom all patching done by voodoo. If you are to patch files zephyroth has made a utiltiy that does the download and the patching for you on the fly. You'll find it on infinitemac. Yes everything has been run through marvin before it is installed on my release reason being your machine wouldnt even boot without this. Seriously tho you need to check on your kernel the main reason for this on amd is to do away with cpuid patching files.

the garbeld graphics are apples own ati drivers can u boot in safe mode -x and then reinstall the right graphics drivers and repair permissions. Dont forget when you repair permissions use something like kext helper or do it in terminal as disk utility will only repair permissions on apple own kexts. I personally repair permissions with kext helper then with disk utility after that. But if its a no boot state you may need to repair permissions in single user mode first before it will let you boot

did you back your kernel up first on root with a different name
  5. exactly the same issue here. it detects the displays correctly but then forces the 26" display onto the 22" and forces the 22" display on to the 26" so gets them the wrong way round
  6. LawlessPPC-Leo-10.5.4-Phenom&AMD

the 9.5 kernel needs the 9.5 system kext so personally i would update to 10.5.5 dont forget to make a backup of your kernel under a different name so you can boot with this specific kernel and replace the new apple kernel with your backedup voodoo 9.5. Also repair permissions
  7. Mac OS X Leopard On AMD Phenom

thousands are running it on amd all the answers are in here but your looking in the wrong forum
  8. LawlessPPC-Leo-10.5.4-Phenom&AMD

now you should update to the latest voodoo kernel and then update to osx 10.5.5

look at system monitor and see how many cores it shows for the cpu usage graph!!!!

as far as im aware you need an sb700 kext for your chipset to make this work which you would have to add to the dvd just to install then add it to the hardrive after install all this info has been posted many times (how to add kexts etc)
  13. ATI ATA Controller (PATA/SATA)

@Eureka any chance of the latest version compiled? Please Thanx in advance

With such vague information no!!!! Have you actually read the readme file. I feel a lot of ppl just avoid the readmes and any aditional information that is available.
  15. Mac aluminium keyboard nightmare

ok Seawane wrote this on www.infinitemac.com "OK, I know the answer... first when I got my alu keyboard, I was having the same problems. Everything was functioning OK, until I plug in a mass storage device of some kind, like the iPhone, and it stopps working. If I was using a normal usb keyboard, there was no problem. Later I found out that it was the usb hub function of the keyboard causing the troubles(I tried with 2 other hubs and normal keyboard connected to them - the problem appeared again). I was looking everywhere for a solution, but nobody reported the same issues, so I thought I had a bad mobo. About 2 weeks ago, I bought a new mobo from different manufacturer, but with the same SB600 chipset. I was almost 100% sure that the problem will be gone, but nooo it stayed. I did a new installation it stayed again. I turned off USB 2.0 in BIOS and everything was OK, but of course without the 2.0 devices. Strange thing on both mobos though, was that when I turned on my USB 2.0 TV tuner, I could do everything perfectly. So I knew that it's the sb600 causing it(the SB600 controls the usb's). I found out in a linux forum, that people are having the same problem(in windows though, everything is ). So it turns out, that it's a bug in the chipset.I thought that since I was unable to find almost any info at all, there won't be solution either. In the end, I deceided to not actually use the SB600 and bought a PCI to USB 2.0 card from Belkin(it should be with the NEC chip on it, some cheap cards with VIA chip don't work). Now I have all my 2.0 devices trough the pci card and everything is perfect. I have two hubs on it(one for tv tuner and printer and one on my LCD where I connect my iPhone and flash drives). It's a simple and cheap(around $20 here) solution." I can confirm Seawane 100% just popped a spare usb2 card in i had ALi M5273 (Uli) works out the box. Only issue i have is keyboard not seen in bios (have to swap port for bios entry). Also Nvidia do osx drivers for this if anyone had issues. What i have noticed is it seems nippier than b4. Itunes next track etc on keyboard seems to change in a fraction of the time. Sewanr Thanx your a star
