uninstall an osx update

Get ready for the bad answer to this (assuming you need to uninstall something like OS X.4.5 update). You'll need your OS X install disc to perform an "archive and install" of the OS on your system. This puts your current system in something like "previous system" folders, where you can plunk down items into your new system and library folders as needed.

QuickTime has a "revert to" installer available from Apple. For any application, you'll simply drag the file to the trash and PRESTO! It's uninstalled.
