loudog3114
I know this topic is highly searchable but I seem to have a unique issue with it. The install runs perfect, but the first boot never comes up, im stuck at the dreaded still waitiing for root device.. I have the OS installed on an PATA IDE drive, as slave to the DVD drive. I have tried the drive as master, not installing the sil3132 drivers (the drive is on pata but I wouldnt mind access to the sata drives), different kernels, tons of bios options, etc, but nothing seems to get me past this point. Is anyone having a similar issue? loudog3114
Fixed that issue by installing the satatest driver for sata cdroms, dont know why i needed that - neither drive is sata.. but it fixed it.
