rich73
I managed to get a basic Kalyway 10.5.1 installed.....but only would recognize 1024x768, no audio, LAN, etc on this board. If I try to use ANY of the options in the "customize" option in install, it seems to lockup when I go to reboot. I'm using a P5K-E, 2gb of PC6400 Ram, a Celeron (OSX sees it as a Core Solo) a SATA HD, and an NVIDIA 7600GS 512mb graphics card, and a SATA DVD burner. If I try to boot without the DVD, I get a "B0 error". If I try to enable any options (vanilla kernel, nvinject, the audio drivers for my board, etc) it locks up. I hate the damned beach ball by now. Please help with any suggestions. Thanks in advance. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/102788-p5k-e-issueshelp-please/ Share on other sites
sicker6
Im no expert...but all your problems could be linked to the SATA Hard Disk and DVD Burner. Try IDE for both. rich73
I'll try that, but I don't know if it'll work. Hmm....... That board only has one channel for IDE. I'll try the HD first, as I don't have an extra DVD drive to put in the machine.
