coleshill121 Posted May 1, 2008 Share Posted May 1, 2008 Hi, I have an Intel GMA 950 chipset in my laptop and I was why I got this problem. My device ID is 0x27a2, so I replaced the existing kexts with the ones from the Darwin950 google code website. I did not backup the previous ones there and I did not use kext helper. When I restarted, it said that the kexts I had used were from a different vendor and could not be used... Why is this?? The resoloution is now messed up... Hagar Posted May 1, 2008 Share Posted May 1, 2008 the kexts are the same as the stock apple ones with a little bit of a patch applied, god alone knows why they got turned into a google code site. The chances are you forgot to fix permissions. If you're unfamiliar with chmod & chown just try using one of the helper apps. coleshill121 Posted May 2, 2008 Author Share Posted May 2, 2008 Okay, I've now repaired permissions, but nothing shows up when I'm booting OSX, I get the boot screen, but then everything goes black...
