NatureX
Hey all, I finally got 10.4.3 in my system and running great, although I have to set my partition as active in windows before I reboot to MAC, anoying, but It's the price I must pay I guess. System: P4 630 3.0 HT 64Bit ATI x300 1 GIG Ram "Dell Dimension 8400" Now that I have the OS installed, do I have to run anything else? Any patches or anything, I installed using an already patched iso. How can I check if Im running at full speed? Any help would be greatly appriciated, thanks. jbjonas
First thing I always do after an fresh install is: open disk utility, select the partition with your OS X install on it, click "repair permissions". This is something you might also want to do every once in a while. It just checks all file/folder permissions on the drive and corrects any that got messed up. You also might want to try adding a bootloader so you can select the system to use at boot, and not have to change it in windows like you said. That can be tricky though - I suggest looking around the forum at other posts about it (there are plenty) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/10248-installed-1043-successfully-now-what/#findComment-64249 Share on other sites
