Point of View Geforce 7300GT AGP 256MB

Buonasera,

 

I have the following computer:

 

Motherboard : ASUS P4P800E-Deluxe

CPU : Pentium 4 2.8GHZ

RAM : 2GB

Video card : Point of View Geforce 7300GT AGP with 256MB

Operating system : Leo4All V3 10.5.2

 

I bought the geforce 7300 yesterday because my previous video card (Powercolor ATI Radeon 9600 Pro AGP 256MB), does not support QE/CI and for this reason I was not able to change the video resolution and (most important) I was not able to play AVI files and DVD.

 

So many people suggested me to buy a Geforce 7300GT and I did so.

 

Yesterday evening I installed the video card and in the system profiler I found:

 

Vendor : 10de

Device : 02e2

mirror : off

quarts extreme : not supported

 

 

The strange thing is that on the VENDOR/DEVICE list (see here) I found that the Geforce 7300GT Device ID is : 0393.........but my video card (geforce 7300GT) is 02e2

 

So I searched inside the forum and I found that it is possible to change the Device ID inside the kext (by changing the content of Info.plist).

 

I did so, I restored the file permissions, but when I rebooted, I found (during verbose) that the nvinject driver is not able to contact the video card to check the model (of the video card).

 

So, by checking in the system profiler I found:

 

kext loaded : Nvinject 0.2.1

mirror : off

quarts extreme : not supported

 

and for this reason I was still NOT able to change resolution and NOT able to play AVI and DVD.

 

Could someone help to enable QE/CI ?

Maybe I need to use different KEXT ?

 

Please help me because I really do not know what to do !
