thesog Posted February 26, 2006 Share Posted February 26, 2006 It's possible that your SATA controller is not supported. If Disk Utility doesn't even see your disks then that is probably the case. jbjonas Posted February 26, 2006 Share Posted February 26, 2006 If you post your system specs, we can help you determine if SATA is supported or not. Also, you can add another drive that is just PATA (old school, non-SATA) IDE. That should work fine. I think most people with this problem have an nForce chipset in their motherboard, like nForce3 or nForce4. They don't support SATA in OS X.
