cottonswab Posted April 29, 2008 Share Posted April 29, 2008 Your motherboard is using a Gigabit LAN featuring AI Net2 Marvell 88E1116 PHY. Marvell Network cards and most Gigabit cards don't work in Kalyway install. If you have an old PCI Network card lying around and it's a Realtek, use that instead. Any 8139 based card should work. I've had some problems with the 8139D but these cards are cheap... like $10 or less. Don't use 3COM or IntelPro (anything) they don't work. Says on the box that its supported by Mac OSX I also got an old Compaq 10/100 TX PCI ACCTON UTP Controller. One chip say 9936H and another say EN5038. cottonswab Posted April 30, 2008 Share Posted April 30, 2008 You can try the Dlink. It uses the RALINK chipset. Go to their website and download the USB Driver for 10.4 and see if that works. There doesn't look like a 10.5 driver yet. Sometimes the old one will work. http://www.ralinktech.com/ralink/Home/Support/Macintosh.html Install the driver and then plug the Dlink in a USB port.
