absolutehype
Hey Guys, Tried the iAtkos install and when it loaded the Darwin thingy it just was an endless loop. Wouldnt kick into the installer and i just gave up. Found this Kalyway install and i have 10.5.2 on a dvd and when i booted wooooo it went staight in. Formatted one of my 80gb Raptors and followed the install steps, customised and i tried the default vanilla kernal i think? and also the nforce kernal or n something kernal and everytime the install gets to 10-15% and just hangs! Left the computer for 40 mins, the entire ui is responsive and fast but the processor light and hd lights and dvd lights just sit idle... Any ideas? Full spec is here... absolutehype
Ok install fails on 21% 15 mins remaining, i got that from the install log. The installer was writing to the log every second at least and then by 21% it stopped writing and all computing stopped on my machine. Any ideas? JaE-V
you need iAtkos v3 it works perfectly fine, i'll post a link to the thread in a second...keep in mind that you'll have to run this install with an ide dvd drive http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...c=87901&hl= and no you cant use vanilla kernels with the nforce chipset and selecting more than one will break your install.... absolutehype
Install was sucessful with 150gb drive removed and partition renamed from osx to hackintosh! on restart I removed DVD and I got a choice of hd(0,1) foreign os or something and then hd(0,2) hackintosh, the first option thing comes up with invalid system disk and second starts Darwin loader and when I press enter to boot, tried -x -s -f and all of them just keeps restatting. That make any sense to anyone?I have tried with the dvd too btw and it opens the leo installer again...
