I know the SIIG card comes w/the dev systems... But, I noticed a few people make cards that will let you use the PCI-e slot on a 915 system to get a 2nd display dvi. Do they work or is it just the SIIG Orion one that does?

TIA :)

I've read these cards have a kind of driver in their firmwares that the 915 chipset can load and execute during boot up. If I understand it correctly, everything must work fine, but when you need dual display configuration you have to install additional drivers for OS.

I've researched the cards on Intel's site among others and they indicate a partnership with SIIG, Molex, and somebody else.....not sure on the Asus one, but the Molex cards seem to have the SI Chip...maybe they all do?

Notice on this page about the Molex cards, theu reference the "Sil1364"

Hmm, that looks promising, then. I know there is a Dell-branded one (J4570 and J4751) that have the SIIG chipset on them, which I was going to try. Hope someone here has some experience with anything aside from the 'name brand' SIIG Orion ones.

I may try one. I guess I should decide since I have one unuseable LCD on my desk now. (They say AGP, but that is obviously wrong...just a bad label on their part).

Hello,

...found this one on eBay at a modest price:

The seller has probably more than one, at least it is not the only one he sells / has sold on eBay...

I think this should be the "right" card, is it?
