Cybex
Hi all, I am trying to install Leopard on a P5N32-e SLI. I tried several distributions (iAtkos r2 and the supposingly r3, Leo4all, Kalyway), but I cannot get it to work. In verbose mode I mainly see this message "still waiting for root device". This is the configuration: P5N32-E SLI Intel e8250 NVIDIA 8800GT (2x in SLI mode) DVD player connected via SATA Harddisk connected via SATA What can be the problem here? Did anybody get such a configuration to work? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/101815-p5n32-e-sli/ Share on other sites
Cybex
Update: When I put in the Leo4all DVD, it sometimes boots to the installer. When I then press install, the installer hangs at 20 minutes remaining, the computer is then needs to be hardreset. Any clues guys? bling
I have the Asus P5N32E-SLI Plus mate. I'm using the iAtkos R3 version but from what I've read elsewhere regarding install issues, the solution is the same no matter what release you use. The solution is to use an IDE (PATA) dvd drive to install it. Most forum posts suggest you have to use an IDE hard drive aswell, but I got it to install on a sata hard drive with no problems. Also, before you install, I recommend you save the attached file to a spare hard drive/pen drive. There's a text file inside that tells you how to get the onboard ethernet to work on nforce chipsets, however it's very intermittent and the system sometimes locks up when the network is under load. Hope this helps. nForceEthernetController.kext.rar Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/101815-p5n32-e-sli/#findComment-727644 Share on other sites
