Sosai

what is the ethernet card you have and how did you make it work ?

and what about Wireless ? is it atheros AR5BXB63?

Picked up an Acer Extenza 5620z at circuit city today for $599. Downloaded Leo4all version 3, and it works perfect!

Intel GMA x3100 native 1280x800, QE/CI supported, Wireless and ethernet working, sound working, usb mouse working, trackpad and keyboard working fine.

Bumping my own thread... I downloaded iAtkos 10.5.4 and installed on this same machine. Worked better than the previous Leo4All 10.5.3. No problems at all. QE/CI supported and working fine, 1280x800. Wireless internet works perfect too.

Hey, Sosai--I'm a total newbie here about to try installing iAtkos 10.5.4 on a 5620z, as you did. Any tips? For that matter, would it be too much of a pain to post a list of the exact options you chose and any to avoid? Breaking it down into baby talk for me if need be?

I've been a die-hard Mac fan for ages, but have been stuck in the Windows world for far too long since my iBook gave up the ghost. Kalyway installed and ran fine for me, but with no USB, Ethernet, or WiFi, and a previous version of iAtkos installed, but I could not get it to boot up.

Anyway, thanks for posting--If nothing else, I now know what distro to try next!
