problem with boot on 10.5.1 installation

:( hello!

 

i'm french , my english is not very well..sorry.

 

i would install osx 10.5.1 on my pc( p5k with intel core duo e6750 with 2go hyperx kingstone and sony dvd rw 530a on ide port and seagate 250go sata)

 

when the computer must boot it tell me com.apple.boot.plist not found

i test kalyway version and many others...with no success :wacko: i'm disappointed...

 

please if u know anything to help me..

I think you have the same problem as many others.

Installing leopard does NOT make the partition active like installing tiger did.

You must make the partition active before installation.

 

Ok, so how do I do this.

After you boot the install DVD, open disk utility and erase (just a quick erase will do the trick) the partition you want to install leopard onto. This sets that partition active!

Remember not the whole HD just the partition.

 

Then close DU and go ahead with the install.

Press F8 and boot with options -v -s -x and it should boot.
